Sessions of Irish Traditional Music

This is an up-to-date list of sessions in the Northwest. However, please check with venues before venturing out. For up-to-date sessions in the Leeds area, check the Irish Arts website. There is also a list of sessions at The Session website

MONDAYS

Lloyds Hotel, 617 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, M21 9AN. 0161 862 6990. General folk session.

The Slubbers Arms, Birkby, Huddersfield. This has changed venue, TBC

TUESDAYS

The White Lion, Heptonstall, Lancs. Irish session.

Cajun session on the last Tuesday of the month (except December) at Lloyds Hotel, 617 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, M21 9AN. Run by Rick (Eunice Bobcats) / Dave (Cajun Specials) 0161 973 8701.
The Ducie Arms, 52 Devas Street, Greenheys, Manchester, M15 6HS. Fortnightly. These sessions are advertised on Facebook, so join the Ducie Arms Sessions Group to find out more info.
The Gregson Centre, 33 Moorgate, Moor Lane, Lancaster LA1 3PY.

WEDNESDAYS

THURSDAYS

The Jolly Angler, 47 Ducie Street, Manchester, M1 2JW. 0161 236 5307.

European music session at the Gregson Centre, Moor Lane, Lancaster.
The Grove Pub, Springwood, Huddersfield. 8.30pm till late, tunes and songs.

FRIDAYS

Comhaltas session on the last Friday of the month (except May and August) at St Michael's Irish Centre, Boundary Lane/West Derby Road, Liverpool. Contact 0151 922 3503 or 0151 526 5118.

SATURDAYS

The Jolly Angler, 47 Ducie Street, behind Piccadilly Station, Manchester City Centre. 0161 236 5307.

SUNDAYS

The Cotton Tree Inn, Cotton Lane, Manchester. Very close to Christie's hospital. From 7pm with Grace Kelly and friends.
